They really liked this owl display. It's the little things in life, right?!

He did great walking around on these. He even made it look easy!

We love Aurora's PumpkinFest. We have some super cool videos of the pumpkin launch, which I can guarantee you, you've never seen anything like it! Anyway they have fun activities like a pumpkin patch, a kid's hay bale maze, Radio Disney dj'ing (which we also have some cool videos of the kids dancing up on stage), lots of kids crafts, stilt walking, lassoing, some great "fallish" food and much, much more.

Adventures

We stopped in Nauvoo and Hannibal (along with many other stops!) on our way back from Knoxville to Utah and then here to Denver. I highly recommend Hannibal for a quick day trip.

On our dinner cruise along the Mississippi River. Great food and the one man band with his banjo, harmonica and singing voice was great!

Welcome Labor Day Weekend

Lately hubby has been attending a class to help prep him for his P.E.exam. What's a PE exam? See here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fundamentals_of_Engineering_exam
Well because it's the wonderful Labor Day weekend his class is canceled and the benefits of having Monday off are here I am excited for this weekend. The grandparents are coming into town and should be here shortly.
What do you have going on for Labor Day weekend?
What are we doing? Everything labor related and maybe we'll get in some fun too. We will be tiling two of our three bathrooms and I am hoping and praying we will finally have two bathrooms that I actually like. The bathrooms in this house have been a nightmare and it's about time for the Walkers to take back control!!!!
So.....we have been working on numerous projects around the house and I will be posting those pictures so that I can show you all what we've been up to.

As a side note: Carson and I are wondering why we wanted a older home to "fix up" and are now vowing that our next home will be brand spanking new, move in ready! Ugh-let the labor continue........
